There is no sight more awe-inspiring than a massive iceberg slowly emerging through the Antarctic mist. It's a moment I've been fortunate enough to experience many times, yet it never loses its power to stop me in my tracks. Every encounter leaves me standing in silence for a while before I finally reach for my sketchbook or camera.

Painted in watercolor on archival Arches Hot Press paper, this original was inspired by my second Antarctic voyage, when we spent two months weaving through the towering icebergs of “Iceberg Alley.” It reflects the quiet wonder and immense scale of one of the most extraordinary places on Earth.
