Ocean Devotion Mail Club FAQ
When will my first envelope arrive?
Join by the 20th of the month to receive the issue mailed around the middle of the following month. For example, join by October 20, 2026, for Issue 001, which will be mailed in mid-November. If you join after October 20, you’ll begin with a later issue.
The December 20, 2026, Founding Member deadline is separate. It’s the last day to secure the $15/month founding price, even if you weren’t here for the first issue. Postal delivery times vary by destination.
When are envelopes mailed?
Mail Club envelopes are sent around the middle of each month. Once they’re handed over to the postal service, delivery times vary by destination.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! Ocean Devotion Mail Club is open to ocean devotees around the world. Shipping for a monthly membership is $1 per mailing within the United States or $2 per mailing to available international destinations.
For prepaid gift memberships, shipping for the full gift is charged once at checkout: $3 within the United States or $6 internationally. International mail can take considerably longer to arrive, so please allow some extra wandering time for your envelope to cross the ocean.
Is the artwork exclusive to the Mail Club?
The 5 × 7 Mail Club edition is made especially for the mailing and marked as part of the collectible Mail Club series. The underlying artwork may also appear elsewhere in the Ocean Devotion collection or on other products.
Will every month contain the same things?
Every mailing includes a 5 × 7 art print, an illustrated Field Note, and a themed extra, such as a sticker, bookmark, or small piece of artwork.
From time to time, you may find another little something tucked inside. Those occasional surprises vary and aren’t guaranteed in every mailing.
Can I pause or skip a month?
Yes. You can manage your monthly membership through your customer account, including pausing it or skipping an upcoming order. Please make changes before the next order is charged. If an order has already been charged or is being prepared, that mailing may still go ahead.
Can I cancel?
Yes. There is no long-term commitment. You can cancel your monthly membership through your customer account. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund an order already charged or cancel a mailing already being prepared.
What happens to my Founding Member price if I pause?
Your founding price continues while your membership remains active. Please contact me before pausing so I can confirm how a pause will affect your founding price. If you cancel and later rejoin, you’ll subscribe at the price available at that time.
What if I move?
Please update your shipping address in your customer account before the next mailing is prepared. If you’re unsure whether a change will reach me in time, please contact me.
Please check addresses carefully. Mail sent to an old or incorrectly entered address may not be replaceable without an additional charge.
What if my envelope doesn’t arrive?
Postal mail occasionally takes the scenic route. If you’re in the United States and your envelope hasn’t arrived 30 days after it was mailed, please contact me with your name and mailing address, and I’ll look into it.
International mail may take longer, particularly around holidays or during customs and postal delays. If an international envelope hasn’t arrived six weeks after it was mailed, please contact me.
What if something arrives damaged?
Please contact me with a photograph of the damaged item. When possible, I’ll send a replacement at no additional cost. Because Mail Club pieces are produced in limited monthly quantities, an identical replacement may not always be available; if it isn’t, I’ll work with you on an appropriate resolution.
Can I buy an old print or Field Note?
Maybe! Any remaining Mail Club issues may occasionally be offered separately after subscribers’ envelopes have been sent, but availability isn’t guaranteed. Being a member is the best way to make sure you don’t miss an issue.
Can I give a membership as a gift?
Absolutely. Choose a 3-, 6-, or 12-month prepaid gift membership. Gift memberships end after the purchased number of mailings and do not renew automatically.
Is this just for adults?
Not at all. The Mail Club is created for curious people rather than a particular age group. Adults can enjoy the art and deeper science, while older children and families can explore the Field Notes together.
One last little invitation
The ocean covers most of our planet, shapes our climate, produces much of the oxygen we breathe, supports astonishing webs of life—and still holds an extraordinary number of mysteries.
There will always be something new for us to discover.
Once a month, I’ll put one small piece of that enormous world into an envelope and send it your way.
Come exploring with me!
