I'm endlessly fascinated by coastlines seen from above—the way land and water negotiate their boundaries, carving channels, enclosing lagoons, and leaving behind shapes that seem both accidental and inevitable. Copper Strait imagines one of those places.
Gold and copper suggest weathered rock and ancient shorelines, while deep blues and greens hint at sheltered lagoons, tidal channels, and open water. As the light changes, metallic pigments and mica catch the surface, shifting like sunlight across sea and stone.
Created through my layered process of cyanotype, watercolor, metallic pigments, mica, and bubbles, every piece develops differently, making each original entirely unique.
