Aureate Sound

I'm the one with my face pressed to the plane window as coastlines slowly resolve out of the blue below—the shifting boundary between land and water, the channels and passages that carve their way through, the textures of exposed rock and tidal flats revealed from above. Aureate Sound grew from that fascination.

Created through a layered process combining cyanotype, watercolor, metallic pigments, mica, and bubbles, this original imagines a coastline that feels strangely familiar yet belongs nowhere in particular. Gold and copper catch the light like sunlit rock, while deep blues suggest hidden channels and quiet inlets viewed from the air.

A small window onto an imagined shoreline—one that feels as though it has always existed.
