Tidal Charcoal, from my The Beach Is an Artist series, captures dramatic currents and sweeping lines formed as water moves across the sand. Its striking palette of charcoal, slate grey, and warm beige gives this naturally abstract coastal photograph both energy and quiet sophistication.

The series grew from my enduring fascination with the beach as both canvas and artist. Each image began with a fleeting pattern I discovered along a shoreline and photographed before the elements transformed it again.
